LOCATION
O'Dowd's Castle is situated on the Mayo / Sligo border on the eastern side of
Killala Bay in an area of unspoilt countryside and exquisite natural beauty.
It lies about 3 miles north of Ballina, Co.Mayo, world famous for its salmon
fishing on the River Moy and 3 miles south of Enniscrone, Co. Sligo, the beautiful
seaside resort on Killala Bay boasting fine sandy beaches and a world class
championship 18-hole golf course. Overall the area is high amenity with mountains,
lakes and spectacular scenery. Other leisure pursuits include surfing (Easkey),
